System Boiler and Megaflo Cylinder Install

The Brief

This install brought the heating and hot water together in one plant room: a system boiler, an unvented cylinder for mains-pressure hot water, a water softener and heating manifolds, all fitted while the room was still unfinished.

What We Did

The work included:

• Vaillant system boiler: A wall-hung Vaillant system boiler was fitted to run both the heating and a stored hot water cylinder.
• Megaflo unvented cylinder: A Megaflo unvented cylinder was installed alongside the boiler to give mains-pressure hot water to every outlet, with the required safety controls fitted and commissioned.
• Water softener: A water softener was plumbed in on the incoming supply to help protect the cylinder and boiler from limescale.
• Heating manifolds: Heating manifolds were mounted on the plant room wall, ready to serve the heating circuits.
• Neat, clipped pipework: Every pipe run was clipped neatly back to the wall, so the plant room is easy to understand and service in future.

The Result

The boiler, cylinder and softener sit together in one plant room, with room to service them. As a Vaillant-approved installer, we can also offer extended Vaillant warranties of up to 10 years on qualifying boilers.
